I have a pair of icon coil lovers in the front of my Tacoma. I went to go adjust them to make them a little bit less stiff as the on road quality is a little too stiff for me. I am bending the tool and not able to adjust the collar it sees from either dark corrosion or both, is there any tricks to getting these unseized?

Try turning it the other way first

Can’t believe I didn’t think of that. If i can get it to go the other way I can clean the threads and get it lubed up

Is there a screw or allen bolt that locks the collar in place so it won't move on its own?

Compress the spring/remove the weight off the springs.
