    Hey everyone,

I am currently looking to upgrade my rear leafs from stock + AAL to OME Dakars. I have the standard length bilstein 5100s made for 0-2in of lift. The Dakars are advertised as 2.75. Does anyone have any experience with the Toytec Shock extenders to allow my shocks to have more travel to work better with the Dakars? From what I have researched there are some questions on the strength of the extenders but little to no answers... I do not do any hardcore off roading, maybe a dirt road every once in a while and the occasional trip up to a small offroad park consisting of easy-medium trails.

Also, would I need larger bump stops to help prevent the shock from bottoming out? How would I measure how much travel I have until the shock bottoms out? If so, then what kind of bumps should I look at? Timbrens are out of the price range, looking for 0-50ish$ I have been looking at the daystar rear bumps, seem legit and a nice price.

Any advice or comments are welcome!

    Thank you in advance!

    Tried them.

Blew out both my shocks the first time I went offroad.

I don't know why they even sell them. They make no sense.

Did you have extended bump-stops, like they recommend ?

No. I bought them in person and the guy told me I didn't need extended bump-stops. In hind sight, I should have known better.

Do it right the 1st time. These things will just bust in half or destroy your shocks.

Does anyone here know the appropriate thread size for the top of the rear shock on an 08 non TRD 4x4 Tacoma?
