I just picked up some new to me Icon Stage 3 components. Tubular UCA, front 2.5 and rear 2.0 resis with the 3 leaf AAL.

They are in good shape by appearance. However, when I cycle one of the rear 2.0s it sort of binds half way through. It still cycles 100%, but it just has resistance. At the point of resistance, further compressed is super smooth and has a good rebound, but further extended is almost dead, it doesn't want to extend all the way.

These are only two years old, and were mostly street.

Any suggestions? Did they lose their charge? Do they need rebuilt? What is my best course of action here?

@toysrgood There are a few troubleshooting tips to figure out what the cause of the problem. The first and easiest of the options to to inspect the cylinder for any damage, a ding to the cylinder could be causing the problem.

Give the cylinder wall a good once over and give me call directly. I can go over the some other options in further detail.

    Adrian,

Here is the video you requested.

I spoke on the phone with Adrian yesterday and he was very helpful and willing to look into this for me even though I bought this suspension used. He requested a video be sent showing the shock condition and he could maybe let me know what the shock might need. Let me just say, so far impressed with Icon's customer service!

    Thanks Adrian!

Based on the video I would guess the the shock may have lot a bit of nitrogen somewhere in the mix. The 56503R shock are charged to 150psi.

I will reply to your email as well.
