I have 3 of the 6 studs for my shock/springs (stock) spinning freely. I assume I'm not the first to have this happen. What's the best way to get the nut off? (I'm installing OMEs) Any tricks?

Cut it off with a cut off wheel.

Put side load on the stud with a screw driver and hit it with an impact with a right angle adaptor :notsure:

It should be mentioned not to undo the nut in the picture above if you are trying to remove the coilover assembly. That nut is holding the top cap on top of the coil spring, undoing it will release the energy in the coil spring. There is a sketchy method where people use a jack and the lower control arm to change springs, but it should be avoided if possible. It's much safer to remove the coilover assembly and take it to a shop who have proper coil spring compressors.

Thank you for pointing that out! I had only done my rear shocks using my above methods.

Only removing the 3 nuts that hold the assembly, not touching the one on the right.

Aside from cutting them off, you could try these. It looks like you might fit them in on at least that one stud. If not, they're good for removing sway bar end links without mucking up the boots. +- $17 at Lowes.
