I just recently acquired a 99 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner Off Road V-6. I was pricing shocks and I was offered shocks and springs of a 2006 Tacoma TRD for less then price of new shocks. Will the fit and how big of a pain will it be to do the swap?

No, not without an adapter for the rear. The fronts are different also (size IIRC).
