I was able to get new take offs from a TRD off road model and put them on my Sport. Are these the same as the 4600's?

No. The Bilstein 4600's are quite a bit bigger in diameter.

If you haven't already, check your tire pressures. Its amazing what too little/too much psi can do to ride comfort. Also, what tires are you running? I've had more drastic changes to driveability when changing tire brands/sizes/loads than I did making suspension changes, but thats just been my experience. I assume this would be a little more drastic going from stock to performance coilovers, but I just can't imagine a huge difference between different trim stock shocks. Butt-dynos are all calibrated differently though, so I don't take "comfort" opinions from anyone on the internet. Drive some different trucks, put a feeler out in your area to try different things; no need in throwing money away just to experiment.

I bought it used. The tires are not original, but, that is a good thought. They are stock size. I drove a number of these before buying. I could tell the OR's were softer and the Sport's were slightly firmer. Ideally, I'd like to end up a touch firmer than the Sports.

I have a 16 sport. I always thought the shocks were too jarring. At 90k I replaced them with real 4600s. Turned out I had a failed front strut and both rears were extremely slow to respond and very weak. I love the 4600s. No nose dive as some warned me about. And going over expansion joints, potholes and washboard dirt roads are no longer painfully abrupt. But my use case for my truck may not be what you are looking to achieve.
