    Ignorance is bliss.

    Problem with shocks is they degrade very slowly. You dont notice how bad they are until you put on new ones. I GUARANTEE your shocks were donezo 100k miles ago.

    I wasn't talking about the whole truck bouncing, but rather the tires. With bad shocks, when you hit a bump or pothole you can feel the tire bounce or jitter on the road surface, I don't feel any of that so far.

    Yeah.
    If they are blown enough that you feel the wheels bouncing, most likely the static bounce test is going to indicate they are blown as well. If you feel OK driving it, keep driving it. As others have said, they degrade over time and it is hard to notice a difference until they are completely blown. I replace mine at 50K miles and can always tell a difference. I also replace tires a bit early. But that's me, I like the best connection to the road I can get.
