Well, I just pulled the trigger on some Bilstein 5100's all the way around with the Icon 1.5 progressive AAL from down south motor sports. I had some extra cash so I went ahead and chose the icon progressives over a single aal. Their website said that I could remove the overload spring (I do not have the TSB) to get 1.5" of lift in the rear. Anybody else running the Icon 1.5 progressive leaf pack without the overload spring. If I set the front shocks at 1.75 I should get a little rake but not much, I assume.

I've been researching this night and day on these forums and others. I really, really don't want to remove my overload. Although I don't haul very often, I do haul an ATV in the bed from time to time. My springs are not flat, but they have settled. Not much though.

I measured my tire centers to the top of the fender well and I have 20 1/8 (20.125 in.) up front and 21.78 (21.875 in) in the rear, for rake of 1.7 in. I would like no more than 1 in. of rake after the lift. If I did the 5100's at 1.75 and add the Icon AAL without the overload leaf, I get 21.875 in. up front and 23.375 in. in the rear, for a rake of 1.5 in. However, if I put the 5100's at 2.5, and leave the overload in with the AAL I get 22.625 in. up front and 23.775 in. in the rear, for a total rake of 1.15 in.

So, setting them at 2.5 would allow my truck to sit more level, and I could keep my overload in too. But I'm worried about alignment and cv joints at 2.5, as I won't be getting new uca's anytime soon. I know tons of trucks around here that have 3+" of lift and have not complained about excessive wear from tires or cv's. I really like the look of the 2.5 setting too. Not too extreme but high enough to go over some of the clay roads around there that are washed out and rutted up. If I knew for sure that I could still haul a load without my overleaf, I'd probably go with the lower setting. However, I think I'm willing to take the risk by going to 2.5 to keep my overload if I have to. Any thoughts?
