My son has the 2007 Tacoma 4x4 with a 3 inch supsenion lift. Is there a shock that will give him any extra lift?

Lifting above 3 inches without a drop bracket for a 4x4 is a bad idea...Not good for the CV joints.
There is no shock that will help out safely...

Normal shocks will not add any lift, shocks are just for dampening purposes. Air shocks on the other hand could give you lift. What you need to give you lift is coil springs (used on the coilovers) or leaf springs (for the rear)
