I am at an impasse on this and wanted to see if I could get some advice from you all who know wayyy more than me (of course that is not tough since I don't know much about this sh**). This is m first truck and I am coming from a sports car.

I was all set to go with some Fox 2.0 coilovers and rear shocks. I bought em brand new. Now, the shop is saying I can get MAX 2" inch lift out of this. In my experience with things in life, when someone tells you "max", you better prepare for less. And, if I have them mounted with an AAL and all.. then think it is not enough, I will be SOL. So, I am going to sell them.

Now, I am getting advice on what to do. If I am going to spend this amount of money, I want a 2.5-3.0 inch lift. I live in the Denver area and will be using this (2019 Taco) as my main vehicle. I will not be doing too much off-roading. Camping and some off-roading. Maybe more in the future, but my time is too limited right now with kids, work, school, life.

There is a group buy on ADS. I talked to a shop here - they said an ADS setup is too much for what I will be doing and the ride will not be smooth. They suggested a Bilstein 6112/5160 setup with SPC UCAs. Or Dobinsons but they don't have those in for a month or so. They don't like Icons - say they see too many leaks at 20K miles or so.

I talked to another shop - they suggest an Icon Stage 1 setup with an AAL and some .75 blocks and SPC UCAs.

Both of these quoted options are between $3k and $4k. Seems high, but I don't know anything so maybe not. 10% of the truck price.

Can anyone give me some advice please? Everyone seems to love whatever they have, but maybe someone has some experience with multiple setups.

    Anyway, thanks for any input.
