You forgot about the part in my quote where I said “made better”, ie, better parts, better construction, better materials. And technology in a shock compared to an elevator system is not comparable.
You’re comparing apples to milk, not even oranges

Why can't 2 things that provide sustenance be compared? Seems silly.

Sorry to confuse you with my illustration.

My point was 'technology' isn't always better.

And no, I'm not a luddite. Spent a number of years in leadership roles in a couple of significant IT shops.

And I didn't miss the 'made better', I didn't say your suggested brands were better or worse than Kings. I only commented on the concept of 'technology'.

My opinion, best bang for your buck is OME lift. Get some 887's on nitrochargers 90000's up front and then a dakar leaf pack in the rear. I have bilstein 5160's in the rear with the reservoirs. Super affordable lift and I can guarantee you'll get anywhere you need to go. If you want to drop $5000 on suspension just to have some instagram clout, go for the kings but big waste of money IMO unless you are in Moab every weekend

I went with Eibach Stage 1 and 1.5” AAL in the rear. I’m in the same boat: I camp and do light trails, but besides that, all highway. I love the setup and would highly recommend it! Just be sure you get the CB + Diff drop too!

If you want to make sure it’s soft get shocks that are adjustable and get them from AccuTune Offroad. They do a custom re-valve and tune on all of their shocks for free. They are also a vendor here.

Diff drops are completely unnecessary and actually more harm than good in a 3rd gen.

Nah. I'm in a new building with a high tech unit that breaks every couple of weeks. It's so gee-whiz the techs need huge diagnostic trees and scan tools to figure out what's wrong. It's the control systems that are the problem, along with laser beams, sensors, etc.

Buildings on the same campus that are 10 years old only need annual servicing for the mechanicals, and the control systems just plug along.

Go read up in the Eibach Pro Kit thread. Tons of great reviews on it and very reasonable pricing. Great budget kit. That’s what I have sitting in my garage waiting to go on. Although I do keep hesitating on the install because 6112s have my interest.
