The days of shocks loosening off are long gone. If they don't fit, something is installed incorrectly.

I’m so confused, is there a question? Or are you just needing to be reassured your plan will work?

The question to the answer is usually asked from within.

Let us know when you get your hands on some nuts.

As always use blue loctite. Let us know how it pans out.

shocks new just got them Now need for front // The problem was the threaded rod was all threads so when you tried to use the lock nuts they would only turn a few threads and the the rod would spin. the the threaded rod did not have a square top or anything to grab. I took regular #10 metric Nuts and blue loctite which tightened down no problem rod did not spin. then I used the lock nuts on top so all good now and thanks for all the info and concern

Is English your second language or are you using talk to text?
Honest question. Some punctuation and complete sentences would help immensely.

My bug thumbs cause tons of typos. So i get it.

Not sure he was being a dick. I think he honestly didn’t understand the question, because I still don’t. Some pics would be extremely helpful in this situation. And by threaded rod are we talking all thread? Or are we talking about the upper stud mount on the rear shock? I think I get it now, you can also hold the shock shaft by hand if it’s accessible and that will usually be enough to stop it from spinning to tighten the lock nut.

As in any forum, sometimes you'll get responses you were not looking for, no need to delete your account because of that. And yes, your original post was a bit confusing. I couldn't understand what you were looking to achieve until post #10.

Back to your question. I had the same problem with my PRO Foxes. What I did is I used wise grips to hold the rod in place and prevent it from spinning. The key is to use a piece of rubber hose or electrical tape around the rod to not scratch it with the wise grips. Worked like a charm for me. Better luck next time.
