So I just got down and dirty throwing in my lift for the truck and came across a mistake on my part I am sure, however I see some people still run them so I want to ask you all. I just installed 2.75 OME dakar's in the rear of my 08 TRD Offroad DC and went to install Bilstein 5100's... and quickly realized I am looking at a length issue. What is the best shock to be running back there? I'm about to just ship them back and let Les Schwaubs sell me on whatever they got instead and quit worrying about ordering this stuff online.. some where I or the guy on the phone crossed up our numbers I'm assuming. 5100's will not work with the Dakars will they?

Down south motorsports sells the 5125's in several different lengths. Shoot Sonny a PM and ask him which one he recommends.

some of this, a little of that
Why not go for the OME Nitrocharger shocks that are specifically designed to match your leaf springs? They're about 170/pair.

I just added my new Dakars about a month ago and used the Billy 5150s 10" travel 175/60 valving. They have been holding up very well since I haul alot of heavy equipment like chippers, stump grinders, and trailers.

Forgot to add you will need to get the adapters for the eyelit to change them to a stud which can be bought thru 4wheel parts or other off road shops.

Thanks! Talkin to DownSouth in the morning... hitting the dead line for shipping this truck to Africa though and I'm afraid I'm going to have to just get whatever the local shop can provide me with. I'll look into those options though... if nothing else I can ship a set to meet me when the truck gets to its destination.

well if he's in the marines and shipping it to africa for a PCS move then it probably is free-fifty. mine got shipped to germany and back for all of $8.19. only reason it cost that was becuase i wanted to ship it somewhere other than where the army wanted to ship it and i had to pay the difference

Yup free-fifty is about right. I work with Dept of State running the Marine Security Guard Detachments at embassies so they foot the bill.
