    I have a 2001 taco and I am looking to lift the rear with a pair of ome dakar leaf packs that will give me about 2"-2.5" (CSO46R A/B) of lift and I'm not sure what shocks to run. I've been looking and trying to figure something out but I will admit I need some help and was hoping I could find an answer here.

    I just got my OME Dakar's yesterday (same exact parts you listed) and I am going to use;

    Standard shackles with OME SB89 bushings/sleeves, Fox 2.0 Universal eyelet-eyelet, Fox 3/4" bushings since the universal shocks have a different bushing.

    Ahhh, I see. Those would be nice but I was kinda hoping for something a little more affordable. I know Fox is kinda a big name and would love to have some but I don't really need them and would prefer something a little more low key.

    I run Bilsteins on mine w/ Dakar springs. Good combination of performance and price. Can’t remember if they’re the 5100 or the 5125, which ever is the longer shock for the slight lift provided.

    The 5100s are longer. I also have OME Dakars and Bilstein 5100s on the rear and absolutely love them. Of course I was riding on stock leafs and shocks so anything made it better. Also the listed lift is based on stock height so if your rear is sagging like mine was don't be surprised if you get more lift than that..

    I ran the Icon 2.0s with reservoirs when I had Dakars, they work with 0 - 3" of rear lift. They also sell them without the resi's for less money

    Were they the same length for both sides? I was looking at the ones without the resis, but they discontinued the 56501 and claim the 56502 is for either side. Not sure how much of a difference it would make as I can’t find specs on either part number for comp., ext. length.

    Here’s my receipt for the non resi Icon 2.0 rears. It shows separate part#’s.
    Granted I bought them back in 2016. Not sure if anything has changed since then

    They're not THAT different per side, I think only by 1/2" or so. Shocks compatible with 0-3" of lift should be fine being the same length, especially if that's what the manufacturer says.

    A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
    I run the Wheeler's 5 leaf made by Alcans and ran both 5125's and OME NitroChargers and prefer the NitroCharger more with my setup. Nothing wrong with 5125's just I like the valving and ride better with the OME NitroChargers paired with my Wheeler's 5 leaf. One thing I do notice tho, like the stock yellow TRD Bilsteins, the OME NitroCharger boots rubbed off the yellow vs the ribbed (for her pleasure) 5125 boots.
