your poor, poor, poor cv's. they'll be at such a high angle their ready to pop.

honestly, sense your 4x4, id say 3" max without going long travel in the front for the sake of your cv's, simply because im against blocks/drop brackets.

if you have to stay at six though, some billstein 5150's with stock ride springs will put you back to where the 6" lift is aiming for. the eibachs are nice, but because they are heavier gauge wire, provide additional lift, which would be a terrible idea with blocks.

It does look like a fail master kit :(

IMO...OP...your best bet will be to remove the DB lift and go to something "normal."

It would be an ENORMOUS PITA...but well worth it.

But, someone did post a thread a while back showing how he made up some struts that worked with his fail master lift.

Like most have said, I wouldnt go over 3inches. But hey its your truck and do what you want with it. I suggest 5100's and new leafs, just like someone else said. Good luck and keep us posted! BTW what kind of tires did you get? 33's, 35's? That might factor into what you should do with your truck too.

    I didn't think we're being assholes, just being realistic..:notsure:

ok forget the "Iphone" comment but the rest still stands, just tryin' to point you in a better direction is all..

Now if I was going to be an asshole it'd be a lecture on how stupid it was to buy a truck with body lift or without educating yourself before buying..

not going to say that... different stroke for diff. folks....good luck dude...

no body lift. i mainly purchased this truck because the body was straight and the motor was strong everything else can be fixed i did do my home work and this was the best Toyota that i could find in my area. most others looked like they had been driven off a cliff. keep in mind this truck is 16 years old and im guessing this lift was put on not to long after that. now they make better equipment i get that. my main question was about shocks. again thanks to the guys that stuck with what i was actually wanting to know

Ok my bad, no body lift, just a 6" spacer in front, do you have to have 6" ?

I see you're going to check into 3" lifts, this def. puts you on the right track

pretty sure the 3" gives you plenty of clearance height wise but i think you'll have some minor rub issues on the inside frame rail, & you may have to beat down a pinch weld
