So i just found out that I have to replace the lower ball joint and sway bar. But I would like to replace the shocks as well. I don’t care to have anything fancy, nor lift the truck. Just good quality that will last.
I have a 2010 Tacoma pre-runner trd sport edition. (Not sure if it matters, but just case. Is there any brands you guys recommend?

Yes Bilstein 4600’s. They are the recommended replacement shocks. They are not like the oem shocks in that they are far superior to oem.

Bilstein will be the shock recommendation on TW, but there are many quality alternatives available. Just go to Rock Auto and check their selection for perspective. (I have a friend who really like the KYB's on his Tacoma - FWIW)

You have to replace the sway bar? Was the truck in a wreck?

No, but when I got the alignment, it was advised by American Tires Depot along with the suspension lower ball joint. Just walked out of 4 WheelParts and was highly advised to go OEM for those parts.

Just purchased the rears…took the bed off and realized my Taco has the original shocks. 48530-04020 Tokico
It does have new leaf springs circa 2018 warranty work done @ 180k by the previous owner.

That is an extremely clean undercarriage, appears to be 100% rust free. It must not have seen any road salt.

I have bought my last two vehicles from a BMW dealership in East TN that seems to get a lot of their used car inventory from Paris, Texas.

this is what my 2016 Jeep undercarriage looked like in May of last year.
