    What's an RTT? I was thinking of using a hammock this trip but I've only done a hammock in cold weather one other time and it was a bit warmer than it is now. Any tips for avoiding cold butt syndrome?

    You need to insulate your bottom side as well as the top. Heat escapes from all sides. Same thing with air matresses. Best bet is an insulated ground pad

    Finally caught up on this thread. I'm a definite. Plan on camping Friday and Saturday. Right now I'm working on detail stuff like a port a potty for the daughter and food management for me.

    Btw, anyone wanting to see the rtt in person should just let me know. I need to work on the add a room so it fits better with my height set up and could use a second set of hands for that.

    The toilet I was looking at is more of a chair with a bag instead of a bowl. #2 for the guys and ladies being ladies I suppose.
