    yes makes 2 boxes = 80 sq feet = $250 shipped
The foil is very thin, you can cut it with almost anything but i prefer a sharp shop knife and a straight edge

    Hello Sir,

I'm new to the thought of sound deadeners. After looking over this thread...I have some questions if you don't mind.

    - the picture that have been posted show a gold product aplied to the inside of the truck. So for $125 we get 40 Sq Ft of this gold stuff...correct?? Is that it or do we also receive another material that works with the gold stuff?

    - kind of the same question. You said this is very thin and easy to cut. So this supper thin material holds all the sound inside and keeps all the outside sounds out?? How is this...what am I missing?? Do you have to put 2-3 layers of this down for it to work? If there is another material you're suppose to use...why hasn't anyone shown pictures of the other material??

    - how good does this stuff work? Not trying to knock your product...far from...just trying to compare it to something I know. The only two deadeners I know of is Dynamat and Raamaudio? Not that I've ever ridden in a vehicle with either of these two applied. Right now I feel like I'm riding around in an empty tin can!! With this installed...will it really give my 4Runner a luxury car quite ride. I know it will never be exactly like a Caddy or Luxus...we still have thinner glass, different seals, etc... I'm Just looking to get rid of that hollow tin can sound.

    - Last...I'm one of the few who are lucky enough to own a 3rd Gen 4Runner (2000)...any idea how many Sq Ft of this will it take to cover my 4Runner??

Thank you for all your time and help. How long are these prices going to last?

    Thanks again Sir

    - Russel

    Russel,

It seems like your confusion stems from the "thin" Golden foil.
The gold is simply the foil's colour, the "butyl" is underneath attached to the foil which serves as the layer that attributes the deadening function.

The foil which is found on all deadener products, including the ones you used serves ZERO deadening purpose what so ever as it doesnt add mass to the metal panel nor is it a acoustic barrier. Other companies use a Thicker foil to buffer their stats to have greater thickness numbers.

The shok deadener you will only need one layer.

Take a look at the first pictures in this thread, you can see what it looks like. There is a White ish layer underneath the golden foil.

If your wanting to do a Complete 4 runner 100% coverage i think you'd need 3 boxes- 120 SQ feet.

The prices will be as is for another short period of time/ while my allowed quantity at this price lasts. Hope that helps

Ok....gotcha!! Yes, Sir...this helps a lot. Makes a lot more sense. Thank you for the quick response. I'm currently in the GB for the fuse box with Yotamac. Let me see what funds I have let over and I'll see if maybe we can do some business!!

    Thanks again Sir

I will be closing this group buy out on Oct 6th. This pricing will no longer be available and will follow a traditional group buy after that. I will also introduce a range of other products for group buy purposes. Thanks for all the support fellas. If we have made other arrangements ill honour them but for any new Gb members Oct6th is the deadline

@manethon ...thanks for the heads up. We are paying for our Bussman boxes now...and it seems there are a lot of "hidden" items that need to be purchased that I didn't think about. So I'm going to have to bow out on this GB. Maybe I can catch you next time.

Hey...wish you all the luck in the world on your fishing expedition!! Hopefully you'll bring back a bounty of fish!!

    Enjoy Sir!!
