I'd like to point out, I was a fleet services manager at a service center in college. I wrote work orders for customers and set up repairs all the time. I have a lot of experience in issues like this, and I can say with certainty they should be covering this.

Not settling for that would keep my truck at their shop for who knows how long plus they have already said that they won't pay for a new shock. Small claims court fees are not worth the price of a shock and some gas. I can't get back the money for the first install because they claim I didn't specify exactly what I wanted. The only thing I'll be losing if I dispute the second charge is the price of two front bilstein shocks since I'm sure that the other shock will spontaneously combust when it comes off also.

We can both sit there and have a pissing contest but at the end of the day if he completely refuses to refund and reimburse me, the only thing I can do is go to court. Since I have a minimum wage job and was still able to get to my job (for my dad) I'm not sure if I could sue for that and what I could sue for but it wouldn't amount to a ton of money

They should be, but they aren't.

So spend $100 on a new shock, dispute the charge with credit card company and submit photos and any other information you can to make the situation obvious and transparent, so you will succeeed in not being liable for the bill?

Or, fight with a shop who denies everything and still has your vehicle until it's paid for?

Going about a lawyer and all that can be done after the fact with far less hassle than having a vehicle held at their shop until the bill is settled and going through a maze of headaches.

Pay for it with a credit card, take a bunch of pics, write the events down that took place, buy a new shock and have it fixed.
If you want to sue them later, add the price of a shock and the shop fee for the next guys to fix the issues.

Doing any of this other stuff is a waste of time. Get your shit from them and get out of there, then go about the rest of the stuff however you want to do it.

The internet doesn't always work in real life.

This is such a situation, IMO.

Sorry this is just a really sucky situation and I was looking for some direction. I guess we will see how it goes. Either way I will never ever use this shop again and I hope no one else will either

Email or call. I already called and talked to Justin and he said they can't replace it and that I needed to talk to the shop

My stance on this is clear. The shop is rubbing the customer wrong way on every turn.

We need to have a everyone light them up with bad reviews everywhere we can until they submit. If they have 1 star ratings everywhere from hundreds of people, I reckon that'd be bad for business.
