My sister's second gen 4Runner needs some work and the last shop literally broke her transmission in half (they forgot the crossmember bolts... idiots). Anywhere near Highland Park/ East LA would be great.

    Thanks y'all!

It's not East LA but The Toy Shop does some clean work. They're in Cypress.

Have you tried yelp? You can probably find a good shop in your area. Check out the reviews.

Also, maybe @Superdave1.0 can help? He's in Lakewood/Long Beach area

I think the shop that screwed her car up was found on Yelp — imagine most reviews are from non-discerning yota owners, so thought I'd ask here since people have classic yotas and care about their rides. However, I'm sure most here do all of their own wrenching like I do...

Ahhh, that's a bummer. I'd say it's a mix of people doing their own work to some having work done by a shop. You can try asking on here https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/southern-california.43/
