My wife has been telling me for a while I need hearing aids, I can't tell you how many times a day I say "huh?" from tractors and guns growing up and no hearing protection. My left side is awful.

I found these online Saturday and ordered them, I'll report back after a couple weeks and let you know how they work.

My biggest thing against getting some was the cost, since these are $199 I figured why not.

You really should have a hearing test done by a professional - there could be many reasons why your hearing is diminished.

I know this is going to be my future... :pout:

Last night was the first time I didn't have the noise maker on to sleep and I definitely have some tinnitus going on. All the machinery at work and using the high volume air nozzles to do PM's are not doing me any good. All started with the 4 12" sub woofers in my 1987 Oldsmobile... :anonymous:

I had one done last year, they said it was from loud noises and no hearing protection. They told me I would need hearing aids sometime

I have trouble hearing high pitch noises too. The mill I run, the computer used to make a beeping noise with the push of any button. Turns out it still does, I just can't hear it. When Cole is with me he always ask if I can hear it, he can.

Yup that's definitely my issue. Need to remember to wear ear plugs more often.

All saying that while I got Judas Priest Sad Wings of Destiny album on blast right now

Now if I use the grinder at work I put my ear buds in with music, not as loud as I used to listen to it though. Also when we shoot guns now, I wear hearing protection. Trying to teach the kids the right way, instead of the way dad taught me. Also wear em while mowing and tractor stuff too.

I carry ear plugs 100% of the time. I've put them in since I was kid.

Even though I have had very limited exposure to loud noises without ear protection, I still have small bouts of tinnitus. I'm more inclined to believe it's a hereditary thing.

Funny, I'm on vacation and I still have ear plugs in my pocket in case I need them.

Back when I worked in the printing industry, I had to wear ear plugs with ear muffs over the top of them. My current job requires me to hear on radios and sat phones and phones.. glad that I took care of my ears when I was younger.

My dad never wore ear plugs. He couldn't hear good as long as I can remember. I used to get so frustrated with him saying "huh, or do what?". I see me doing that with my wife and kids now, I had to do something.

I have to wear ear plugs and muffs when using the plasma table. Something about the sound of the cutting really offends my ears. I hate the sound of it.

I recently bought some Sony noise canceling headphones, mainly for our upcoming trip, but used them once while mowing and they were amazing. You almost can't hear the mower running.

The downside being if I tried to use them when it's warmer than 60 outside my ears will melt off.

So I bought a pair of Sony noise canceling ear buds for my wife for the trip and told her I'd be using them while mowing and snowblowing.

Looks like I missed the last 933 messages. :anonymous: Been hunting steady all of November and just finished muzzleloader week. Ended up with another nice doe for the freezer. Missed a really nice buck with the muzzleloader, put an arrow through the brisket of a decent buck, and hit a sapling shooting at a huge buck with the crossbow. :anonymous: All in all an eventful season. Time to settle down a bit before coyote season.

    Hope y'all are good!
