My wife has been hinting (heavily) that she wants to go to Hawaii. I've never been, but I know its expensive.

 

This trip will set us back about $6,500.

Flight - $850 x 2
Condo - $3,200
Rental car - $700
Food, gas, etc. - $900 (estimated)

 

Pretty sure American Airlines wouldn't give a crap about the issues and would tell me tough luck.

 

The first guy has now given me back my money.

Things are finally settling back down and I can stop worrying.

 

You could probably do a cruise for that kind of money.

 

My wife and I did a cruise. It was alright but being stuck on a boat for 5 days and only leaving for a few hours for shore excursions isn't us. I like setting my own itinerary.

 

I'm sure you'll have a blast and the break from the cold will be nice. One of these days I'm going to check out the Jurassic Park ATV tour. It's on my bucket list.

I'm a little surprised that's on O'ahu instead of Kauai. The opening scene is of the Na Pali Coast and the big gate they drive through are both on Kauai.

It probably shouldn't surprise me that they filmed things on different islands, though.
