I am almost jealous never had this type of relationship .

If anything the complete opposite He never figured Mom would need time to care for me and it would take time from his being waited on and catered to.

Just added the chicken, she knows something is up!
Made it out to the lumberyard and put in my purchase order for the playhouse project.
Maybe sometime soon I’ll get that mower deck replaced. Who’s ready to lose money on their vote?

I fully blame Creed and his poll for all these shenanigans. :anonymous::anonymous::anonymous::annoyed::frusty:

Well mom, it turned out that the spindle bearings were bad and I had to replace them as well...

I never understood how those bolts usually shear off in those aluminum housings. You’d think they’d be tougher than that.

It either hydrogen embrittlement or corrosion due to dissimilar metals.

Tried heating, beating, and even grabbed one from the back with vice grips and twisted at the same time.
After I broke them all off and submitted to defeat, I tried clamping the protruding bolt end in my vice and twisted the back. That even sheered off.
This is exactly why I use anti-seize!

Anti-seize for the win! You’re a fastener man, you know! I struggle with corrosion all the time with designing marine products. It’s amazing how many times I need to stress to a boat builder that stainless only stains-less. It’s not a miracle metal.

Anti-sieze does well, but too many times the bolts are over torqued with the increased lubrosity and the anti-sieze doesn't have a chance to do its job.

316 stainless DOES work well in corrosive environments, provided it isn't fastened into aluminum.

We got close to 8” of rain from the hurricane the other day and this 4’ pipe couldn’t handle it. It washed over it again and took a lot of the big rocks with it. The head side looks good, tail side, not so much. The man who owns it paid $3,500 to have it fixed about a year ago.
