it was. Up around 6300 feet, no smoke and a high temp of about 68. As soon as we got about an hour out it was hot, dry and smokey. Could have definitely stayed longer.

What you guys think a lightly used Lincoln 125 HD wire feed welder should be priced for sale? I know prices are screwy right now...

I had to do some running around town today to pick up some parts from our finisher who does coating, hardening, plating etc. While I was waiting I noticed this sign on a tempering oven. “Do not warm or re-heat food in oven!”
We all know, if they had to put a sign up, there’s a story behind it!

Prices are all over the place, survey you local CL and Marketplace for a good idea. Retail on that is around $450.
People are asking crazy money for the old Lincoln "tombstone" AC 225 machines, they used to be around $100, not any more.
Did you get a different machine?

A great friend upgraded to a stick/tig unit and gifted me his old Lincoln AC 225 he bought new in 1977, works like new still -- except when I run it . My skill level (or needs really) isn't high enough to justify a tig unit -- yet.

We can justify buying darn near anything if we try hard enough --
-- if I happen to stumble over one for a stellar deal, well, you know the rest. :spending:

My first real job out of college was working 3rd shift for a place that made wheels. Every other night I would come into the chemical lab to the smell of pizza being heated in the oven we used to bake paint samples in. It was all good until someone would set the oven thinking it read Fahrenheit, when it was actually Celsius.

Had a little excitement with a little fire above town tonight. This guy was flying to a local pond to fill. Took the kiddos to watch. It never gets old. Had two planes also making drops. Got it out pretty quick.

I dunno if i ever really learned but first use was a stick arc welder. I had to make some 1/2" x18" rebar stakes. basically weld a 1/2" rebar to a 2" square plate with hole in middle.

Funny thing was, it was to stake down 6x6's around playground equipment...with 1/2" to 1" rebar sticking up out of the 6x6'so_O totally safe for playground use....:rofl:this was circa 1989 or 1990.
