I had the same issue with my old wheelhorse with the ber-vac snowblower. I used some gold screws made for studding dirtbike tires on the outside lugs, and it made a massive difference. Just had make sure to buy the short ones so they didn’t penetrate the tire.

I think you have it right. Patellar bursitis.

Prepatellar bursitis is an inflammation of the bursa in the front of the kneecap (patella). It occurs when the bursa becomes irritated and produces too much fluid, which causes it to swell and put pressure on the adjacent parts of the knee.
A direct blow to the front of knee can also cause prepatellar bursitis. Athletes who participate in sports in which direct blows or falls on the knee are common, such as football, wrestling, or basketball, are at greater risk for the condition.

Prepatellar bursitis is often caused by pressure from constant kneeling. Plumbers, roofers, carpet layers, coal miners, and gardeners are at greater risk for developing the condition.

    Treatment
Nonsurgical treatment is usually effective as long as the bursa is simply inflamed and not infected:

    • Activity modification. Avoid the activities that worsen symptoms. Substitute another activity until the bursitis clears up. Low-impact exercise, such as cycling or using the elliptical machine, is a good option.
    • Ice. Apply ice at regular intervals 3 or 4 times a day for 20 minutes at a time. Each session should reduce swelling considerably if the knee is also being rested.
    • Elevation. Elevate the affected leg except when it is necessary to walk.
    • Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Medications such as naproxen and ibuprofen may relieve pain and control inflammation. Acetaminophen can be used as an alternative if you cannot tolerate NSAIDs or are allergic.
If the swelling and pain do not respond to these measures, your doctor may drain (aspirate) the bursa with a needle, then inject the bursa with a corticosteroid (cortisone injection). The corticosteroid is an anti-inflammatory drug that is stronger than medications that can be taken by mouth.

As a physical education major in college one day I heard screaming from the gym and went in to investigate. Two guys were in the gym with one on the ground holding his knee and the other "trying" to help him. The injured man had dislocated his kneecap, pushing it to the side of his knee. It was my first and only time of my life I have seen such and injury. His knee looked very strange without a kneecap in place. An ambulance was called and he was taken to the hospital. Now, anyone care to guess what he was doing for a sport?

Badminton! He had knelt onto the floor to return a low shot and when he did his patella rolled to the side of his knee.

2.5" lift, all new chinese light plastics, led lights here and there... want to make a daily "overlander" modeled after "overland under budget"..
The swelling has gone down a bit and the pain not so intense today. My cousin(a vet tech) looked at it last night and mention bursitis...and recommended seeing a doc..lol. Wife got sick of my bitshing last night and gave me an "edible"...judge away but it worked for the pain, she also rubbed it down with some magic cbd cream. I dont partake in "green" activities but may change my mind...i dont like taking opiates because they cloud my thoughts and cant safely work...this edible did not effect me this way.

I have an “old” Mac mini from when they were upgradable. From what I’ve heard, they took all of that out and it’s a forever “as built”, so think long term. You’ll spend more money, but it will pay off later in how long it will be useful. I can’t help with specs, but will advise to calculate “sweet spots”. What that is - the point where upgrading changes cost significantly. eg. memory is 16GB - 256GB and each doubling is roughly $100. But to go from 128 to 256 is 1,200… well, the cost per has past the sweet spot (that tech step is new technology, and thus a significant price leap). Cost/return becomes harder.
Another consideration is if you are a perpetual upgrader, consider that folks looking for used are always looking for the desired model (the 256G, not the 16G), so keep that in mind. That play doesn’t really pay off if you keep long term - doesn’t matter what model Pentium 2 you bought… it’s still a Pentium 2 now. Hope that helps…

i do my best to avoid macs if i'm being honest. as noone said, they've definitely shifted to an 'as-built' model these days. first 2 family computers were macs back when they were upgradeable. first one had an add-on external cd-rom drive. last one was a blue one--that was even getting difficult to update the memory. my grandma still uses a mac desktop, but there's not even slots on it to upgrade the memory. they aren't user friendly, mac basically plans for you to upgrade to the newest model every 3-5 years and dump the old hardware like an overcooked lasagna.

mac is always best now to get something with bigger specs than what you need, as you can't really change it later on like on most pc's.
