Well, this isn’t fun. Woke up a couple of hours ago and couldn’t get back to sleep… Starting to get light out.

Oh well, there’s another chance later tonight.

I hope everyone has a great day :hattip:

Yep brother in law can do electrical but he is busy on other stuff and don’t really want to tie him up he would in a second as I would for him but he’s in middle of a shop build of his own , mostlikley gonna be aluminum 1/0 x3 with a ground in conduit so I don’t have the power drop at this length. Will most likely have the licensed guy do it just because of risk with insurance here lately in Florida, don’t need to give anyone a reason to cancel me.

Do you plan to also run water at the same time ?? It comes in so very handy .

Even if you connect it later .

    Good morning crew.
I called my wife this morning to explain, sometimes I'll do something that seems rude but to get a point across. When we replaced the pool liner and cut up the old liner and placed in large contractor size bags. I filled the first bag to a manageable weight. Wife and daughter filled the next one so heavy it had to be drug across the yard to the side of the house. Today is trash day and I left that big heavy bag along with a empty bag sitting in front of the garage door.
That bag cost less than a dollar. Why do it to yourself? Why do it to the guy collecting the garbage?
    :anonymous:

I put the rest outta the street.

For 100 amp breaker without doing the voltage drop calculation #3 aluminum is the minimum size, unless you’re feeding a 1 or 2 family dwelling there’s an exception in the code to use #2 aluminum. If you used #2 to a garage you’d have to put it on a 90 amp breaker.

I forget what size wire the Electrician used when they run underground to pole shed. I do recall it had to be a certain depth for frost line and that it was direct burial stuff. I want to say those aluminum strands were 3/8-1/2" iirc. All I know is that wire was expensive part of the cost...and lights don't flicker when I run a little corded vacuum.

Little bit of this and that
For 180' run you'll want to run 2/0 AWG AL (URD if code allows, not familiar with FL regional code) to stay under 3% voltage drop. That would be for 100A/240Vac single phase.
