Absolutely, I'm lucky enough to work in a wildlife refuge where they happen to launch rockets so we get to see quite a bit. I saw 3 doe on my way in this morning...

Had a similar gig in southern ‘Berta. Military range. Day & night live firing but there hasn’t been hunting allowed in the area for as long as I can remember. Animals just walk right up to you. No fear.

After 2+ weeks of dust and dead (looking) grass it is now pouring and has been since about 2 pm. I can see the grass greening up and could probably hear it growing if I went outside.

I don't know what kind of uber fertilizer they put down but I've needed to mow twice per week to not take too much off at once. At least it only takes me about an hour. And I'd probably just be watching TV otherwise anyway.

When I was about 12 I found an old bag of fertilizer in the garage, what I didn't realize was that the shutter on the bottom of the spreader was rusted full open and it emptied in about 40 feet.

It nuked the grass in a 40 foot strip the width of the spreader, it didn't come back all summer.

    :nuclear:

Next year that strip grew like crazy -- 25 years later it still grew about 2X the rest of the lawn.

At least it was in the back yard...

Yes, I need to do that and even change the oil soon.
    Goodmorning crew.
Another mistake made within maintenance last week resulted in yet another all day stand down yesterday. Last week was I&C Shop.
Neither one of the last two screw-up result in any major catastrophe but...odds are it could. Need to get the train back on track.
I'm not sure how that will affect my work today...maybe they'll have me mash them all day long like yesterday's crew.
Have a good day and be safe.
