    They miles more safe than old school lateral springs.

    Have your vice grips adjusted properly before you start cranking on the winder and always stand to the side.

    Just take your time.

    Front rotors and pads for me today in prep for state inspection next week. My only other concern about passing is a tiny chip in my windshield.

    I’m hoping the mechanic will be so impressed with the fresh brakes up front they’ll miss the chip :anonymous:

    You'll be fine, DOT says it has to be so long for cracked and in view of driver.


    The federal regulations from the U.S. Department of Transportation — no crack larger than 3/4 inch in diameter, no two cracks within three inches of each other, no intersecting cracks, or cracks directly in the driver's view — are the minimum standards.
