Welp, I’m glad I paid for a bi-annual service contract for my HVAC systems.

A technician came by yesterday to do his inspection and found this!!!!

    IMG_0576.jpg

I do remember when I switched this unit over to Heat this fall it acted up for the first Day. Would sit there trying to light up and then fail. Did that about a dozen times before I noticed and switched the unit off. Turned it back on the next day and it kicked right on.

Not personally but I have seen that video over the years and might have read about it back in the day.

I did read somewhere on the internet where some fellow bought one he found in a scrap yard to restore.
Lightweight & aerodynamic or not I can't imagine towing in modern traffic with only 40-60 HP available.

As an owner of a 40hp I would agree on that. Not up big hills either.

    63. It has a very slow single port that was originally 6 volt. Guy I bought it from converted it to 12volt. Been sitting many years. Waiting to restore it when I retire. It will definitely have a bigger engine when I do. Already have the dual port to build. Picture was taking last time it was outside probably 2015

I’ve gone back and forth on what I’m going to do motor wise. There’s a lot you can do with that little motor. I live around the corner from New England Dragway. So I’m always thinking big but most days I’m thinking I just want to cruise around with more power than stock.

We’ve been to shows in Farmington, NC where guys would roll in with Chevelles/Mustangs/Novas thinking they were gonna dominate the air cooled cars. That power to weight ratio really kicked in! It’s kinda impressive to see a sand rail carry the front tires for 1/8 mile.

White Oak, and it will be used. I’m getting back into wood working, on a small scale, for now.

    Good for you!
It is great when people get back to doing a thing they actually want to do.

We find ourselves so damn busy all the time with things we need to do we end up forgetting about the things we actually like doing.

I spent 15 years doing that, it was dumb on my part.
