Got the dryer fixed last night, just a pesky belt. And I found like 2 dollars in change in the bottom of the dryer so the belt cost me like $5.

I cant half way remember stories Ive shared with this thread or people in person but
Neighbor buys brand new duramax, tailgate actuator is shot and wont let him drop the tailgate within 24 hours of purchase...too much tech is too much...

The new to me Honda has power windows, power door locks (in need of repair, can't lock it right now) and A/C. That's all I need, guess I'll go back to parking by braille.

    New poll!!!

I may not use all the bells and whistles, but I seem to want them anyway. :anonymous:

I wish it was that simple, door lock actuator on passenger side and tumblers on both sides. Doesn't use a remote, uses the key and it's a common problem on the older Civics.

I was wondering if it used a fob or key to lock.

That would be a nice package to drag home.

The 56 Chevs aren't a big deal - the star is the 1947 - 50 Chev cabover along with the matching carrier.:drool:

The GMC version (and by extension the Chev although incorrect) are often called "Cannonball", one would think for the overall round shape of the truck. The name actually refers to a one season :canada: TV series (1958) of the same name in which the truck driver main character used the name. A 1954 GMC tractor was the main vehicle in the series.

I know that one… it’s the keyway that wears. PITA to get the assembly out (looks simple, but not). Graphite helps just a bit… but not always enough.

Sometimes they are there. The security module (fob) would be in the knee panel below the steering wheel, maybe a little to the right. Optioned with and without. Driver’s door lock shuffle… fun days!

Yeah, that seems intrusive but maybe geared towards commercial operations?

It’s corporate licensure jargon. It’s saying the software/documentation/processes are theirs and if you have multiples without permission, you need to pay for them. You agree to grant them normal hours access if they feel you’re cheating, so they can prove it. This scenario likely only exists in a service shop.

Getting ready to start my most expensive woodworking project. Ever.
Just picked up three live edge 18" wide by 9/4 thick by 96" long. In addition, I have all the other parts sanded and ready for assembly. These three slabs will make up the most important piece of the assembly.
This will be a Christmas present for my wife who has wanted this for a long time.
    So,
    A. Guess type of wood and
    B. Guess the project
