DJ is a good welder. He's been welding for many many years. This was a rather quick n dirty repair, his SS pipe welds, and even aluminum are really nice looking. About to retire.
    Thanks

Kinda sentimental project car we picked up, yesterday. Belonged to my wifes dad who was a pastor. I had to break the ignition switch to unlock steering as they lost keys after her dad passed away. Anyways, charged the battery and wiggled the battery cables, and hot wired the starter to get it moving again. Then cranked it over and it started right up.

Brought back a memory but one that wasn't very church-like. Back in the day that was a newer car, I was working on the road with the rest of the tree trimming misfits. And so anyway this one fellow on the crew was always mooning everyone. So one evening after work we stop at the filling station/restaurant/motel, grabbed a case of beer. I noticed that fellow that moon everyone was sitting up close to the large window of the dining area.
I gets this great idea we should swing back around for a drive by.
And so I did...hanging my rear out the passenger window as he honk the horn.
I almost got us all permanently banned from the place.

Went to the annual Father’s Day car show this morning with my dad and brothers and sister and their family. Kids were looking at an old Buick and the owner told them all to climb in. Here is part of the cousin crew of my family. Missing the other 6. When they got out he showed them how to start it with the crank. They were all pretty amazed by that.

Girl at work had one, took good care of it and drove it over 150k miles. Thrifty car to run around town.

My mom had a old Ford Fiesta the same color. Sans the cool little stripes down the side, but also a manual transmission. We called it Bob the Tomato, from Veggie Tales. She had gotten it from the estate of her great grandfather, who was also a pastor.

    Goodmorning crew.
It's going to be a hot one today. The breeze just picked up a bit so it doesn't feel to bad right now. A little later that breeze going to be a blast furnace.
First off today, throwing a few more parts at it.
