Lots of really old trailers had 1-7/8" hitches.

In the early days trailers were light and vehicles had very low capacity as well as traveling at low speeds on the poor roads of the day.

    TLDR version:
Balls got bigger as time passed.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
To have another size ball and hitch to sell.

The real fun was picking up Tow behind welders the end user would never know what type of hitch was on the machine

Maybe it can't, but you can put it in neutral? :notsure:

Or as an option for towing behind RVs?

It's 'towing' is that it follows your car by self driving.

I would venture backing up would be interesting .

I saw one driver years ago that could back up a set of thru way doubles.

Yes. Let me be a little more specific.
I'm planning to upgrade to a larger CNC Mill. It needs to fit in my home garage, needs good rigidity and speed, plenty of tools in the ATC, and Good support available. Right now I am eyeballing the speedio machines. Ultimate goal is to small production runs of smaller parts. Thinking either 4th axis with a trunnion pallet loaded with parts on all 4 sides, or possibly a robotic arm with pallet loading.

Yeah, they’re a little high on the quote, and could not confirm when parts would be in.

We use to run Fadal machines but they kept breaking down. About 15 years ago they bought a Haas cnc it was much better in every way than Fadal. They sold all the Fadals one by one and replaced them all with Haas. That’s really the only two I have ever run so can’t say much more than that. Haas does have a big lineup up different machine though.

yeah I’ve spent a lot of time looking at Haas aswell. The VF-2 and the DM-2 are both candidates and will fit in my garage. A lot of knife makers use the Haas mini mill, but I’m afraid I’d out grow it quickly.
