The part that I try to explain to them that they don’t get is that I already made it into a square. Now you’re paying me to do it twice. The square had a +.002 / -.002 not a problem. Put it right on the money. But the square is already 1.968 so there is no +.002 just a -.002. Can’t put a dial indicator on a rotating square. Lined up by eye.

 

So you rush this job before the 3 other jobs your rushing as well!

It never fails the rush jobs get juggled every hour.

I told the owner if He charged a surcharge on rush jobs so many would cease to be rush jobs.

Then a idea from just the grunt with the skills is never good enough till it works through his brain then it his idea.

Rush jobs slowed down with just a paper work processing fee.

It's a complicated bracket for a square rod with a small cable to do with a weaving machine. Not sure what the actual name of it is.

 

The screw heads aren’t lined up…

All the screw heads for receptacles and light switches in our house match up, drives me nuts if they don’t. But when it’s something in the garage or outside it doesn’t bother me. Weird.

Then your trying to sell the property unless the buyer is like me and is buying the shop checks everything out a good hour

Now I'm put in the spotlight 3 or four times and questioned can I pull off this modification? Because it's the only part on the planet and it's 6 months lead time and tens of thousands of dollars to have one made. (They say when we're shut down it's a million dollars a day).

Had my eyes dilated today so I nap a couple of hours. Still feels like a dark room with a single miniature Christmas tree light would be ample illumination.

 

Oil change and new air filter. I've got new rear rotors and pads to be delivered tomorrow.
And I open up the roof window and clean/lubricated the seal. I hope the dielectric grease was appropriate
Normally I use silicone spray on the weatherstripping and that's going to happen in about 5 minutes.

 

You’d be surprised how many places call for white lithium grease or silicone lubricant. An easy and ample supply is found as “pool lube” in most pool/spa supply shops. Used for every gasket, seal, movable, plumbing, etc.

I thought about some other lube I had available and actually 2 different types. My wife uses the stuff I snag from work on the swimming pool gaskets. They throw the stuff away at expiration date.

 

Mother's VLR (vinyl, leather, rubber) works really well for weatherstripping.
