Sometimes the estate sales are disturbingly personal.
Here you go wandering through someones house, someones life, casually viewing their history, dreams & failures.

True that. It can be extremely disturbing. Especially if you knew them.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I would stop at a few of the local ones people I knew not since I quit working just to hard to get around.

Places in my lawn shed I need to move things to get to around easier.

Seen this guy crossing my parent’s driveway while cleaning up their lawnmower to sell. Taught my son why you don’t mess with them too much!

Went to the garage early this morning and pretty much just spun my wheels and never got forward traction on the Corvette. :(
Just trying to get three things mounted and pulleys lined up. Crank, water pump and alternator. How hard can that be?:anonymous: :bananadead:
Went from plan A to plan B now going back to a revised plan A.
The alternator, water pump and one of the associated brackets and pulley was missing when I purchased the car. The car originally was a small block 327/350 with a short water pump. My short water pump doesn't clear the timing chain cover. So I purchase a long water pump and another set of pulleys. With that there long water pump there's no way for the alternator bracket to move out far enough to align the belt. (Way off).
I found some shims for the water pump .125" thick and additional shims for the crank pulley. Be here Tuesday.
I decided just get on the riding mower and run it around on some dry crispy brown grass.
    That's finished.

I had such a crummy sleep last night...the thought of taking my dead-blow hammer and clearancing that timing chain cover was...temptation...meh, it rubs on the chain it will machine its own clearance

I mentioned to my cousin how nice it would be if there was a old boneyard close by we could probably go find a hundred easy solutions. But then again we're talking about late 60's early 70's type stuff and most likely not too much of that in the yards anyways.

Gate project wasn’t too bad. It was 6 1/4” too long, it’s a custom fit job. What I cut out I slit and put inside for strength since it was made out of the same thickness as beer cans.

BOP guy but I can relate to the pulley alignment deal. Went through hell before I got it right & it stayed right.
