The collectible company stuff is never going to be worth anything. Sooooo many people collect that crap. The metal content is the only value.

Yup ,this guy is dumber than dirt . Living with mommy and doesn’t give her one penny or lift a finger to help . But that’s totally her fault . She made him that way and she is too dumb to realize it .

    Good Job!
Most of the ones I have seen are just steel rod with holes drilled for Cotter Keys. Nothing incredibly complicated. I like yours better. Hopefully it’s a solid rather than pneumatic tire. Always flat when yo u need em! I have a double tire, so it’s twice the PITA…

I never had a problem with the tires they had tubes back in those days.

I tended to break the handles loose overloading them in my youth.

The more I moved per trip the less trips .

i would too. 30 years ago, as a kid, i got a 'babe ruth collectible baseball', and some sort of nascar truck series collectible matchbox with stat card. for some reason i shoved them in a drawer and saved them as i got them in their protective casing. neither mattered, but i figured at the time they'd be worth something later.

re-found them when i moved 30 years later.

the baseball? $5 on ebay. there's hundreds of them for sale.
the matchbox car complete in it's packaging? $6. there's a few dozen on ebay at anytime.

the moral? just use the damn things like they were intended. i gave up 2 toys in my childhood for $11. probably about what it cost someone to buy me those things 30 years ago.

    Reserected from the dead.
    I'm kinda ok with that.

I've been paid $100 for 2 minutes of grinding and 20 seconds of welding.
I'm not gonna judge because I know I'm a monumental dumb ass for other things

40 degrees here today so I worked on the trails this afternoon.

    KIMG2923.jpg

Cleaned up in minutes, there is a very steep bank on the right so the brush is EZ to dispose of.

    KIMG2924.jpg

Further on the trail, looking down the hill, this is much steeper than it appears in the photo. I haven't touched this section in about 15 years.

    KIMG2926.jpg

Looking back up, it gives a better perspective on just how brutally steep the hill is.

I was (personally) running low on battery by now so I just cleared up what I had to climb over.

    KIMG2928.jpg

Two full 5ah batteries and one tank of oil, about 2 hours of steady work.

They are buying your knowledge and investment in tools however.
As long as you are charging a rate comparable to others that is fair.

One of my old Plant Managers (a good guy) was repeatedly stunned by the cost of some replacement parts, I always told him the same thing - "Let's see you make one in your garage" - he didn't like it sometimes but was intelligent enough to understand.
