We don’t use the “J” word. It’s called “merchandise”

Hey, whatever you's guy's gotta tell yourselves to sleep at night

I don't post near half the stuff. Neighbor drove through the lane when I was tinkering with that free snowblower and yelled out "another project?" :anonymous:

I would love to be able to sleep at night, that has always been the problem.

Ironically ever since going on day shift I've been sleeping better. I really thought it would be terrible, but actually got better.

I worked nights for a lot of years, it is a rough way to make a living.

We may cope with it or adapt to it but I think ultimately man is designed to work best when awake in the daylight and asleep at night.

I did nights for almost 2 years to get into the company I am with now. It was terrible and I swear I took off 10 years of my life. Worked my way onto second and now the coveted first shift. Although it ain't what it is cracked up to be as we do all the quarterly PM's (blow out and grease) and also major repairs as we get most of the downtime on our shift. Co-workers have been better though, so that's a plus.

I took a truckload of my merch to the dump today. Lots of cardboard.
A 25 yo shop vac that runs only two minutes. A kitty litter container that housed my coyote pee. Two ancient teflon pans. Assorted unrecognizable pieces from the past.
    However, no wood.

It was my entry into a career, even though it's gone to pot in the past couple months... o_O

Going to the dump makes my day, it is so liberating to pack up the van and then drive away with it empty.
They sell Gertrude Hawk chocolate bars there so I get a reward too.

Most of the things in the archives is "stuff" that (arguably ;)) has some value versus plain old trash however.

We really could have used those Teflon pans to slide stuff through the warehouse and the vacuum to suck stuff up for the next prize give aways……….for a couple minutes anyway :annoyed:

    I drive a Chevy

I used to own 2 Honda n600s. I will have to see if I can dig up some pics of them. They never were drivable and when the kid came along they had to go.

A buddy of our that works at another body shop in town has a collection of ford unibody trucks. He has around 8 I think. 3 are drivers in varying stages of repair. His nicest one has a 5.3 Ls. He drives it everywhere.

Those are some pretty nice forklift skid marks.

And I know a lot about skid marks.

Got up at 10:00AM local time Friday morning.
Spent the last day driving around looking for things to do on Maui in the rain.
Threw in the towel and went to the airport at 4:30PM for an 8:30PM flight.
Made it through security and everything in record time. Because of course we did.
Camped out at Sammy Hagar's airport bar for about an hour babying a drink to kill some time.
Watched the majority of 3 movies on the flight as I fell asleep here and there for a total of about an hour and a half.
    Three hour layover in DFW.
Dozed on and off on the 2h49m flight.
    Got home at 2:15.
Finally gave up and went to bed at 5:00PM after being mostly awake for 31 hours.
Wife came to bed at 10:00PM, which naturally woke me up. So now I can't sleep again.
Some medication might be in order to knock me back out.
But I need to eat some supper first.

And I have a piece of pecan stuck in my teeth that I can't get out.

I can add this to the prize box.

I can only assume that LAX is the airport code and not an additive to expedite the evacuation of the bowels butt don't quote me on that.
