Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

I did not delete my FB account but I rarely use it and even more rarely post anything. If I do ever respond it usually begins with, “I am not on FB much.” I never feel the obligation to respond to posts, especially ones that are sent to me. Some friend requests have been ignored by me for years.

 

I see a fellow started a thread called "Bed widening to fit 4x8 sheets" .

My old van does this with ease, suddenly I feel oddly superior...

Replace 4’X8’ sheets with “Golf Clubs” & you’ve got today’s standards for a Truck. We all know all you need is a Honda & a red flag to call ‘er good.

 

Y'know is seems just lately I saw a Honda parked at Slowes in the "Pro Parking"...

Yeah, leavin’ good wood unattended like that. Surprised nobody phoned but the backs open so at least it gets fresh air.

 

I did what a police officer friend told me to do and created my very own fake account on FB to use marketplace. Works wonders and no one bothers me except when I’m doing a deal on the messenger. I had an account 20 some odd years ago because my brother nagged me about it and before long people I didn’t even like in high school were trying to friend me and my wife’s friends kid kept messaging me every time I logged on. I shit canned my account after a couple months of being alerted that someone bought something on FarmVille and other intrusive crap. I sometimes spy on the you may know this guy or gal page and the dumb pictures and selfies some people put up is embarrassing to say the least. My sister did the same thing posting old family pictures and I told her to stop but her answer was that’s my people! Some of them they can’t help it. No one knows my new incognito account and I’m keeping it that way. Seems FBM has replaced Craigslist so it’s an evil I deal with for the time being.

Spin on “nuptial”. I don’t like the fact that once you post something it becomes their property. Just don’t seem right to me.

FB is mostly annoying. I think i had one account for 5min then i closed it. Wife has FB. Hard to even sell some stuff when idiots want you to deliver it when you explicity say no delivery cant even give stuff away sometimes.

I have a Facebook name that means nothing as well. I took it a step further and started a Google Voice account so I could have a dedicated phone/text number that is used for FB and other places that demand a phone#

Oddly enough, I get no span calls to my GV #. I like that my legit # and my GV# both with ring to my cell phone. The GV# will ring to my computer as well. I can text using my computer too.

I do have a pseudonym for FBMP.
Really I have met some nice folks buying & selling - mostly the kind of offbeat things I deal in.
