What's up guys? Sorry to be scarce but i have been way busy. Our company's president is retiring in December. They found tumors during physical in Germany in July. He spent two weeks in hospitals getting surgeries. He won't be back. He is retiring back to Germany.
New president comes in on September 9th. A small team has been running the America's for the past month or so,but we still need to do our regular jobs, so I have been busy! It sucks for our outgoing president. Work whole life and get sick a few months before retirement.
On the home front, everything is good. We only have three acres and that is enough!
Funny quick story... my wife wants to fill in our spring with fieldstone. I explained to her that was a pretty impossible task. She insisted, I said okay and we got a ton of free rock (about 10 lb apiece) and I threw them in on top of the ground on Saturday. A few hundred stones. They are now gone. I took her back and showed her. She now understands.


Funny sentence of the day:
"Today's trans people are not who they used to be."

Lastly, my Methodist church had to vote on "topics" Sunday. We will see what my church's position on the subject will be.

Aside from being almost double the price they hung on half a dozen charges for this, that and quite a bit of the other as well.

On the back of the bill the small print said:
"this charge is to help Amerigas offset the cost of:
regulatory compliance
hazardous material compliance
driver training
the cost of operating a fleet of commercial trucks
the weekly lunch for the executive staff

...and...
...that horrible paper they use in the drivers restroom at the depot..."

TLDR: Avoid Amerigas

 

I'll second this!

 

I tried getting them here...2 no shows, then i get a bill for tank being installed service visit and filled...and guess what?? No one showed up and no tank! Wife was on phone with them back and forth and not too pleased! finally got it resolved.

I had "automatic delivery" and ran out -- twice!

No apology, no 10 gallons free, not even a calendar.

To their credit they did mosey on out and fill the tank within 2 full days after I called them...

Thought some of you would get a kick out of this. Wife calls me today to say her car want start. She works from home and doesn’t drive much. Put some cardboard around it for some clean up but ended up replacing it with a new one. This one says 2018 on it.

 

And the power just went off...

As long as it comes back on before Mrs Green gets up for work - electric well pump.

We have an electric CO-OP out here, good folks. They answer the phone when you call & the service guys really do their best for us keeping the lights on.

 

Super satisfied this evening. After dinner and helping get the kids down I ran outside and got to work on installing new speakers in the front doors of the GX. This weekend I’ll get the new sub installed.

Also, this FatMax jumper box is awesome.

 

That old speaker gave it all for the cause.
