I would choose 44 myself. I haven't compared component prices but it seems the more common calibers brass and bullets are cheaper. Unless of course times like these, then all you can find are the more uncommon stuff. I would even go for .357 mag if came across the right deal. I load for both already

I liked the .44 because believe it or not, it’s nice to shoot for a big round, and I already have a smith mountain gun so it’s one less caliber I have to go look for. I think the DE kicks less than the mountain gun though.

The mechanics of the thing probably soak up much of the felt recoil. I would guess.

:rofl:yes, it's a shame I tell you these long work days....think I just function better if I get at least 7 hours of sleep. That doesn't leave much time when 12.5 hour shift and 45 min drive time. Looking forward to weekend

I believe that's why some people choose the Combo so they can swap the barrels out. It's been years since I've seen one and recall that it was pretty heavy when loaded to capacity.

So night shift guy left after 10 hours last night. He thanked me for the help and instructions I gave him at turnover. I complimented him on a job well done. I was nice. I get very reluctant at times to give him any advice because he usually dont listen.
Here is his practice flange. The welder dudes built up the erosion area on both sides of a spool piece and he had to remachine the phonographic finish.20210325_115207.jpg

Awwww... that's adorable, a little baby gun! What happened? You wash it in hot water and it shrank? :p

My last gun - OTO Melara 76mm on HMCS Algonquin (Okay, granted concealed carry is a little tough, but dropping a few rounds onto a beach definitely leaves a mark!).

Chips are for amateurs... get back to me when you can make dip! :p

(Hint: Sour cream, french onion soup powder, a Bridgeport and a 3" end-mill are all you need)
