Reminded me of when I had a Union job and layoffs were happening. I got bumped a couple of times but when these people saw what the job was, they left pretty quickly. At one point I was asked to train my replacement. I didn’t citing the same reason you did.

It takes a certain kind of asshole to layoff/fire someone then ask them to train their replacement.

You bet. My post was long enough but that place went downhill really quickly after the CEO died unexpectedly. The entire culture shifted to the bad side. I'm so happy where I am now, I love the job, my coworkers, I'm way better off where I am.

I have 3 very pregnant does in my backyard herd but no babies yet.

 

Are they usually this late there? Ours are born in June/July

 

Been looking at renting a skidsteer for a day, looks to be about $350-$400. Would it be cheaper to buy one, hunny?

 

It seems very late this year. I don’t hunt anymore so I’m not sure but I thought the rut was in November.

That's about the time ours is as well. @Jtcmedic and @Hunterdc1 hunt in Florida, what do you guys think about being late with the birthing of the babies?

 

Best and most versatile piece of equipment Danny has out on Monkey Mountain. Worthwhile investment as long as you have consistent recurring need.

 

I need to fix the road where we hunt, it's a pretty good hill and washed out. I could do it with the tractor but it would be so much easier and quicker with a skidsteer.

 

I had one just like this for about 8 years, used it a ton. My buddy wanted to sell the tractor with the loader I have now so I sold the skidsteer to buy the tractor. Miss it!!

 

This is the one Danny has ... uses it for so much shtuff.

 

Well if/when you can hire Cole out as the operator with it...

 

He wants to start his own grading business, he will probably have one before I do again
