Oh I understand, I've been running my side business for about a year and a half now. You are right, I have to do everything myself, I am the purchaser, marketer, advertiser, operator, HR, manager, everything. But it is a much more satisfying BS to deal with because I'm doing it for myself instead of a corporation. I have my LLC, business insurance, and work with an accountant.

One part of my business is manufacturing my own line of knives and knife handles.

The other part, essentially I'm forming my business into a small scale Engineering/Design/Prototyping/Manufacturing Services Company. I am offering Design and Prototyping packages and after prototyping I can offer small scale manufacturing in-house or recommend large scale manufacturing providers. I cannot legally sell/advertise 'engineering' services yet, but that should change in about a year when I get my engineering license. Then I can register my company with the state engineering board and legally sell those services as well.

It just so happens that my first few clients are knife makers. So I get to help them design, prototype, and machine their knives.

I have set a rough 2 year goal to try and take my side business full time. I have also set a financial goal that if side business hits a certain amount of monthly revenue then it is time to take if full time.

It is never the hands on type work it is the business headaches .

In House manufacturing have you explored product liability insurance or are you able to work around it??

Different business but 15 years ago to walk into any plant for any hot work $3 million blanket policy cost me $8,000.00 .

15 years ago or so I went back to being an Employee I was lucky I did the same work for a Pay Check and benefits .

It’s something I have to research more, especially as I get closer to becoming an actual registered firm.

I’ve had an entrepreneurial spirit my entire life and I’m ready to do it.

And hey, what’s that saying - “if you fail at running your own business then you’ll make a great manager somewhere else”.

 

They wanted to get ‘em there bar none.

 

Bad thing was they increased the length by a 1/2” so they have to ship another set there

 

Measure once, cut twice. Lotsa guys were late first day of class.

I heard the radio spots never tried the product.

Have you tried Relief Factor ?? I have been thinking of giving it a try.

My Stomach can not handle the over the counter pain relief products for more then 2 days my stomach hurts worse then the joint pain.

 

Never showed up the first week of class.

I have a problem handling the good pain narcotics. Over the counter stuff doesn’t do anything for me anymore either though. Opioids make me sicker then a dog. Just had my Achilles reattached at the end of September and it took Narcan to wake me up afterwards.

 

That is not good!
