    Wow you live in a High Tech World I wish I was close enough to get DSL.

    The phone Company sold me all the Hardware after saying It would work. Only to tell me sorry we don`t see the need to expand into your area at this time.

    The cable company said the same thing . They were also unable to run the cable the 500' underground nor could I run the conduit myself. They said If I installed 4 full size poles it could be done.

    Story time with drunk customer yesterday....

    I carry an Altoids tin in my pocket that I put chewing gum in. My kids hit me up almost daily when I get home for some.

    Yesterday they hit me up and gave me an empty container back, whatever, I'll refill it when I get home.

    Drunken customer comes in and says "you got a piece of gum?", I said no, I don't. He got an attitude and said "you don't have one piece of gum?" I said no, we have packs of gum right there.

    He said "you don't have one single piece of gum on you?" to which I pulled the Altoids tin out, opened it and said "no, I gave it all to my kids earlier".

    He said "that's Altoids, I'll take one of those". I said it's an Altoids container and it's empty while holding it up showing him.

    He grabs a pack of gum and puts it in his hand like he's going to take it. I rung it up and told him how much. He said never mind and laid it down and walked out.

    Not sure what was going on with him yesterday, not the first time I've seen him drunk but he must have been on something else too.

    I will give anybody anything I have, if they truly need it. You'd be surprised the number of people who come in and think we owe them something. It gets old quick and you learn who needs something and who wants a handout.

    They used to have some gag gum years ago that was super sour or something gross. You need something like that for them folks that think you owe them something...

    My budget isn't quite that generous.
    "$110/mo with a one-time hardware cost of $599." :eek::eek:

    The DSL line is $55/month and works fine for 2 Chromebooks. :)

    A friend owned a filling station/tire shop for 50 years.

    Thousands of times people would say "why can't you give me a tire? You have all these".

    They would grumble and get back in their car, light a name brand smoke, take a slug from a 32oz soda and drive off.

    Urge to :smack:!
