Holy smokes! My dream would be to have 20 or 30 acres.

 

I'd love to have 100ish, I'm glad to have almost 10 right now though

After growing up on 30, then moving to 1.27 after getting married, I couldn't stand it.

 

We have a propane stove and oven with a 100 gallon tank. The tank has no name on it. It was 75% full last year when we moved in, my wife cooks a lot. It's 50% now.

I told her I want to get it topped off before winter so we won't be paying higher prices since they know people will need it to heat with.

I called 2 local companies, one didn't know anything about it.

The 2nd said they had filled it before but it was customer owned. I said that customer passed away and we bought it. How much is a gallon? She said $3.29

The 1st company was $3.09, I told them to come on with it.

 

So, this is near my house and it's an online auction, do I NEED it? No.

Am I the current high bidder? Yes

That about normal price we are paying $2.99 a gallon now on a keep full. 2 tanks 125 for water heater and dryer the other is 250 for stovetop, gas logs, little Webber grill. Big one is topped off once a year and the other one about 3 times.

 

We have 20 with a lot of trees. Plenty of deer in our area, turkey too. I dont hunt it, yet. but certainly would if the SHTF. Ideally I would like 40-100, but 20 with a house is plenty to keep up with, especially when we're only there several days a month.

 

My lot is about 1/4 of an acre.

Maybe 1/3.

 

Been playing fone tag with the 2 propane companies near the house.

The one that is cheapest has a flat out delivery fee of $14.50, he was up front about that from the get go.

The one that is highest, I went to their website to fill out a credit app and it said "they can charge $4.79 for a regulatory fee, subject to change". So I called.

It's now $10.99 "regulatory fee". I said how about a delivery fee? She said no, there isn't one.

So I called the other guy and ask what other fees can we expect from you besides the $14.50 delivery fee. He said if you run out of gas and have to have it same day we charge for that, other than the $14.50 delivery fee, there isn't anything.

So how can they get out of the regulatory fee, maybe cause there isn't one?

 

Compliance fee last charged in February $14.99 but nothing for May delivery.

Is the griddle cast iron?
If so, make sure you season it real well before using it

 

It may be, I’m gonna clean it up good and cook some dollar general bacon on it. Then send the bacon to @StayinStock for the food sampler aisle in the prize wharehowse for when he does the monthly inventory sheet.
