We got a little bit a couple weeks ago, nothing to really write home about.

The wife has mentioned that we should consider an emergency heat source for if the power goes out. I'm no expert on the topic but I'm considering this guy.
I'm assuming it would run off of a 20lb propane tank.

Any and all input are appreciated. I know many of you have more experience than me

 

Well i have one in greenhouse keeping some plants alive. No not pot/marijuana...
Anyhow its closed up but not insulated so it burns quite a bit of propane it does heat pretty good though. You can get an electric fan that mounts in the heater that helps push heat out into the room. But of course you need power for that.

 

That should run 10-12 hours on a 20 pound tank. Between the blue flame style & radiant style the radiants burn a bit cleaner.

Keep in mind that as you draw propane from the tank it gets colder, the faster the draw the colder it gets. This can ice up the regulator and limit flow. If you have a larger tank this is less of a problem.

First Monday of the new year and all of the holiday nonsense is finally behind us, a good time to get started on a positive trend.

 

Start the week on a productive note. Today's the first day I bumped up into #8 out of 21 technicians in union seniority. I knew this shop ran on 9 in the post Obama lean years. Head down and 29 years to go.

Do you have any complaints on it? It says it's not for use above 4500 ft elevation, we are at 4300 so I'm a little nervous about it shutting down on us.

 

Morning. Back to school today after 15 days off. Part of the perks of this job is the fact that 6 weeks from now I will get another week off and then 6 weeks after that. Then the long grind till a month off in July. Haha you won’t find me complaining. Stay Well…Stay Safe
