    The U-bolts were tough, they have 4-40 threads on them. The crooked parts are hidden so I'm not gonna let it bother me.

    How loud is it?

    I've got the Rigid version from HD. It has a muffler that cuts down on the noise. I've found that I'll give up a little performance if I can stand to be in the same room with it without having don ear protection.

    I've worn ear protection my entire life, so random, high pitch sounds bother me more and more...like when the vacuum goes into cavitation when the intake is blocked. No joy!

    It’d be for dust collection from woodworking, so ear protection would be worn. Thing is, I can select it as a prize for 20 years service award. I may get the tabletop patio heater the wife wants instead and catch a bigger shop vac than what I currently have on sale. I’ve never heard of this brand.
