I "renovated" a 25 year old pair with heavy coats of Fluid Film.

Unfirtunately I can't report how well it lasts because I never wear them, just too darn heavy anymore. They do look nice though. :notsure:

Old cowboy I used to work with that was hard as nails turned me onto saddle soap. Every time I get a new pair they get a bath and fresh power step insoles and I'm ready to ride...

    Todays score:

I had a free 3 month trial of satellite radio for the truck, it was set to "renew at current rates" so I called and canceled.

Naturally they try to get you to renew at a better rate, around $5, not bad but I gave the old "times are tough, I'm retired & don't drive the truck much" line (all true  ) and said I would think about it.

Got an e-mail today - $3.17/month for 36 months, same deal I have for the van.

every time i visit the dealer for parts, it's the same thing. i even went a few times when my car was in production, and even simple things like oil filters were 3-5 days out...

i don't know if they're hording parts for their own repairs, but it just never made sense that they didn't stock at least 1 of the common stuff... i mean, what exactly do they have if they don't have the normal wear items?

but nothing beats going to the ford dealer to ask for parts for a 22 year old ranger. the parts guy went from being friendly and helpful, to Roz from Monsters Inc...
