    @six5crèéd welcome back Shane!

    As for the pipe threading...I prefer the easy button.

    Arts and crafts time!

    My makeshift spray booth for a 3D printed brain that is having the parts painted different colors for labeling for a psychology class.

    Sweet but spendy for occasional use. ^^^

    I found a Rigid hand threader set similar to below at a flea market for $40! I got a tri-stand at an auction for a good price. Brutal amount of work compared to a powered threader, glad I don't use it often.

    I paid $5 for a model that had the entire thing modeled. It said it was a brain! :p

    It started off the 50 hour print great but somewhere along the line it went to hell. We're making due and some wood filler and primer and calling it good enough because we're running out of time.

    At work today I got a set of pins out to measure threads. I couldn't remember how to use them:anonymous:
    I seen the correct pins and then theres a add number and a constant. Anyone know a simple equation for that. I was going to measure 3/4-10 threads but just got a nut to check. I've been lucky and only seen one job come in the shop where they were really needed. A supplemental employee showed me but that was several years ago.
    As far as threading taper pipe threads machine shop has a rigid threader and weld shop has one with even a larger capacity.
    I've only single point turned a taper thread one time just to see it work.

    Isn't the consonant and number the standard tolerance for the threads?
