Yeah the 1000 lbs is a guess at best. We can’t transport them full of oil so it was a separate tote with just the oil yesterday and the breaker today.

Yeah it’s pretty huge. It’s a 46kv breaker, not sure what the trip settings are on this one, I can ask tomorrow but I think it was a low side transformer breaker so who knows.

Actually, now that you mention it last time we did one of these the bushings were almost 100 lbs each, plus all the copper inside and the steel and iron it’s made of. Maybe 2500-3500 is a better guess. I’ll take a pic of the scale tomorrow first thing unless @six5crèéd wants to make it a poll!

Premium is cheaper, in my 30 years of driving I've had 3 claims, none were my fault so the $100 deductible saves us money as long as we don't use it :D

Did you weigh it with the oil in it or drained? I may have to change my vote if no oil :D

No oil. we cant transport them full, so we drained it on site and shipped it up after cutting the legs off. I will say it had 276 gallons in it, and that is already in the furnace tank.

Close enough, we’ll caulk it. Hand drill with a hole saw and a grinder with a cut off wheel, check.

Electrical oil... 1973... I sure as f*** hope someone confirmed there were no PCBs in that before it went in to a furnace tank (and isn't it generally mineral oil, anyway?)!!!!

This was tested back in ‘04, it’s less than 1ppm pcb, we can burn anything less than 2 here. Anything higher gets shipped off to TCI.

Yes it does, if you didn't know it had been replaced you'd have to look hard to tell the difference

    Arts and crafts time again!

Our plotter decided to take a crap and hasn't been repaired yet and we need a 30"×40" sign printed.

Besides busting out the crayons, numerous 11x17s was my only option.

    Naturally we needed two...
