Thanks! Was a surprise to catch that in this lake, I’ve heard it’s a tough lake to fish.

Nice score! I just compiled a toolbox for my nephew who’s visiting. He was amazed by it, goes to show that the gesture goes a long way! He was envious of my boy’s tool chests/collections (about the same age) I had an old 14.4 volt Ryobi drill (new in box) that my neighbor gave me but needed a new battery, $17 on Amazon and it’s helping build new creativity!

Wish I had more to contribute, especially wrenches & sockets, but he’s happy and proud of it.
This was his first visit since I built the playhouse, he wanted to see the plans and wanted me to tell him every step of the build (he’s 7) he was amazed that one person could build that. I told him I was amazed at myself when I finished.

    Nice picture and catch! @Gregthespy
I got a little work done on the Corvette today, not much but some. My makeshift patch on side of shed kept much of the mud/water from washing in.
Pressed bearing races in and check clearance .001" -.008" spec. One was .002" and the other .003"
    20210626_095737.jpg

Then put a rubber bump stop in I forgot when I was putting front suspension back together :anonymous: then new nylon inserts in the shift linkage that goes from frame to engine block. Everything takes time, I should burn some vacation and get a bunch knocked out.
The engine sitting there, ready to rip I should think...20210626_101434.jpg

When your parents and Grand Parents on both sides also known as Top and Bottom all lived through the depression nothing is every thrown away that can have any use .

Anything that can be patched back together is.( Some of my emergency repairs last for years)

The scary part is younger City people seem to throw everything out even if they have no idea what it is or how expensive .

I hang on to more than I probably should. I had a bunch of old garage door opener parts (the eyes and switches etc) I just went through and threw most out. I saved a couple of old Motorola cell phones and a old cb radio for no good reason other than I think it belonged to Grandfather. The old Motorola phone was mine, o posted a pic a few weeks ago.20210626_172604.jpg
