My wife and I went to Vegas a while ago for a long weekend for our anniversary. We spent a grand total of $100 gambling because we kind of felt like we had to but didn't really enjoy it.

The lottery is the same way - it's obviously not a guarantee that you'll win and we work too hard for our money to give it to someone else.

I don’t play the lottery but maybe 2 times year when I feel I have extra money to burn on nothing in return.... sometimes I feel lucky and well I’m already lucky with my wife, kids and our health....

I'll buy a lott ticket occasionally. I think regarding the lottery it's worth a couple bucks just to dream of hitting the big time lol. On my Ringo rings the measurements give no plus or minus tolerance but it's 3 place decimal. +/- .005:notsure: I could still polish a few tenths to be on the money.

So family matters, I had a pretty crummy childhood from age just before 3 when my real father was killed in a on the job accident he was 23. My mom soon after married and they partied like rock stars until all the money was gone, then he left, I was about 10 yrs then. Even though that guy was mean and abusive I still wanted to be with him. He didn't or couldn't have me due new woman. I headed in a terrible bad direction but luckily at age 15 my real fathers brother and wife took me in, I had new brother and sisters, and good family. A saviour basically, I finished last 2 years a honor student in high school. Thing is, I could harbor a lot of anger and resentment towards both mom and stepdad but I choose to let it be water under the bridge. I know people don't always start out making good decisions or vice versa but I believe people are capable of change. I'm proof. I have one full sister two half brothers of different fathers, the latter who's spent more of his life in prison than out. Life in my opinion pretty short to harbor ill feelings...towards family matters anyway.

I understand ya completely, my pop was killed in the line of duty when I was young. Mom had 9 brothers and they were all tradesman of different crafts. They took me in and I gained invaluable experience from them. There the reason I made it to where I am today.

I know creed mentioned home schooling awhile back. I have a cousin who I may have been the one, the only, who never interfered with how he was raising his kids and home schooling. The only time I ever said anything to him was when child 7 came out, I be like, you know what causes that righto_O so 10 kids total and for a good long time they homeschool and he ruled with pretty much iron fist with religion too. He finally caved to what everyone else told him he needed to do or these kids need this or that....now he has to be the most disrespected father in the world. It's very sad. Point being; stick to your plan and be firm.

I won a large sum playing the NC lottery a few years ago . I was gonna retire anyway , but i was able to pay everything off and invest most of it. It happened at the right time i guess.

We drill the outside holes first and then the middle. For these parts we use a .175 diameter drill and then come back in with a 3/16 end mill and pick out both ends. Then after we do that we make them a slot with the end mill and finish at .201. We do the same on the other side of the part so the slot is all the way through. Very minor offset if any of I set it up right. .

Thx , its ok i guess. We've been able to help some people that we're close to when they find themselves in a bind. We live pretty conservatively so we'll leave it invested and maybe our son will have it one day.

I'd guess 50-60 a year on lottery. There are casinos on the other side of the river and I guess possibly here soon. The wife and I have been only one time to casino and may have been while we were still dating. Had dinner and gambled about 30.00 each. At one point I think we could have left with dinner paid for...but what's the fun in that:rofl:it was still a cheap date...

I'm usually careful when I'm grabbing spices out of the cabinet but tonight I must have been distracted.

Sometimes when I can't decide what I want to eat for supper, I'll open a can of chicken, add taco seasoning and shredded cheese, warm up and eat with tortilla chips. Tonight instead of the taco seasoning I grabbed cumin and dumped the better part of a tablespoon on the chicken before I realized the color wasn't right.

Worse things I could have grabbed, obviously, but it just doesn't taste right.
